Daly City’s Outstanding Parkinson’s Caregivers at Your Disposal!
CareMo hires and trains caregivers to help in the homes of clients who live with a variety of conditions, including Parkinson’s disease.
CareMo’s expertise in providing care for those who live with Parkinson’s disease comes from in-depth training on how to care for seniors with a variety of age-related ailments. Parkinson’s disease is a unique challenge for caregivers, which is why CareMo has invested so extensively to train its in-home care aides with the best information and tools available to make sure all CareMo clients who live with Parkinson’s can live in comfort and as independently as possible given their condition.
CareMo is working toward membership with the Parkinson’s Foundation, where the goal is to make life better for people with Parkinson’s by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Local Parkinson’s Foundation networks provide the Parkinson’s community with a range of enriching services including support groups, wellness classes, and education programs.
The Parkinson’s Foundation provides invaluable resources for caregivers and people living with Parkinson’s. Their series of free educational books, including Caring and Coping, can be downloaded at Parkinson.org/Library or through their toll-free Helpline at 1-800-4PD-INFO (473-4636). The Parkinson’s Today blog features a section, Caregiver Corner, created for caregivers. The Parkinson’s Foundation also offers free resources for caregivers and people with Parkinson’s such as: webinars, podcasts, a life-saving hospitalization kit, and videos about caring for someone with advanced Parkinson’s.
